RAIS

Marais

R&B/Soul • 2026 • Lossless

RAIS is MARAIS at her most exposed and self-possessed. The sophomore album unfolds like a private journal left open on the kitchen counter—messy, honest, tender, and intentional. It captures the quiet moments between chaos and clarity, where self-reflection turns into self-reclamation. Opening with “PSA,” MARAIS sets the tone with unfiltered truth, addressing perception, silence, and the emotional labor of being misunderstood. Tracks like “No More Hiding” and “What Do I Do?” wrestle with accountability and self-interrogation, while “B.M.F” and “Scorsese Baby Daddy” inject playful confidence and cinematic romance, blurring fantasy with reality. Love in RAIS is complex—never neat. “Love Me 4 Me” and “Chill Baby” ache for acceptance without performance, while “Crybaby” reclaims sensitivity as strength rather than shame. Domestic intimacy becomes sacred on “Kitchen,” where vulnerability lives in everyday spaces, and “Drive” and “Another Life” drift through longing, distance, and emotional what-ifs. The album’s spiritual pivot arrives with “Get Behind Me (Interlude)” featuring JREAM—a moment of grounding, protection, and inner confrontation. From there, RAIS expands outward. “Saturn” and “Joni” (feat. ASAHI NOIR) explore escape, destiny, and the desire to be understood beyond this version of self. Closing with “Take You Down,” MARAIS leans fully into emotional surrender—soft, fearless, and unapologetic. RAIS isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about letting the mask fall. It’s the sound of a woman choosing herself in real time.
